Every two years, The Associated General Contractors (AGC) recognizes the contractors that build outstanding buildings and supporting infrastructure that help make San Diego County such a beautiful region. On November 14, 2023, AGC honored the “best of the best” at AGC’s 2023 Build San Diego Awards luncheon. Over 200 guests enjoyed the afternoon’s festivities, including several elected officials, government and educational leaders, owners, developers, architects, and engineers.
Hazard Construction Engr was awarded the Unique Small Project Award for Private Work for the Creekside Park & Franklin Ridge Project. Creekside Park is situated on a small rectangular piece of land bordered by two large apartment complexes to the East and West, Civita Boulevard to the North and Friar’s Road to the South. The project consisted of a 1.3-acre linear park featuring a bioswale running the length of the park with amenities overlooking the creek and an elevated walkway that traverses the space, providing a pedestrian connection between Civita Boulevard and Friar’s Road. The park site includes two children’s play areas, picnic facilities, a fenced dog run, landscape, hardscape, irrigation, a signature bridge and security lighting.
Special thanks and congratulations to Project Manager Paul Hutchins, Superintendents Hayden Butler and Frank Herrera, Foreman Brian Sliffe and Project Engineer Trevor Kouma along with the rest of the Hazard Team!
