Hazard Construction is seeking a project engineer with 1-3 years of experience in heavy highway construction. Candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to site development, military, and DOT(Caltrans). We work on a variety of grading and asphalt paving projects and seek a motivated individual to assist our superintendents in the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities:
- Assist superintendents in progress billing, track submittals, RFIs, and contract change orders.
- Job cost tracking/updates.
- Develop/maintain CPM schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on a variety of projects.
- Track quantities.
- Traffic control plans.
- Earthwork Take-offs.
- Understand contract documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.)
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Requirements:
- ard-working individual who has demonstrated leadership skills and who thrives in a teamwork environment.
- The individual must be highly organized and able to communicate well with others.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Excellent writing, presentation and computer skills.
- Willingness to be flexible and occasionally work long hours.
